Hi

As I'm sitting down writing this, I feel weirdly grateful: I'm actually writing to another human (at least, I hope I am). I had to do a lot of reading these past weeks: blogs, mails, internal communication, open source comments and PRs. So. Much. AI. Like, for simple writing even? Where's the joy of finding the right word after having to think about it for 10 seconds? Where's the skill of "reading out loud what I just wrote to make sure it sounds correct and like me"?

So yeah, it makes me feel good to once in a while write to someone who might actually take the time to read and reply. Don't get me wrong: I do think that AI is a powertool and can create much value when used in the hands of professionals, but please, don't ever loose that human touch. Another example, something that just happened to me; was one of those "can you fix my printer" incidents, but instead of a printer it was a vibe coded app. You can read the story on my blog.

Apart from code and AI, I did have a couple of productive weeks. I went to API Platform Conference to speak about Tempest for the first time! The talk will be published soon, and there's an aftermovie teaser here already. It was really fun, and great to meet and talk to so many… humans 😁

I'm also still very much enjoying my RuneScape journey, by the way. I just published a new video on that channel as well.
